1. North Adelaide Dog Park
The North Adelaide Dog Park features ample space for dogs to run, play, and socialize. The off-leash area is securely fenced and contains two separate enclosures – one for puppies and small dogs (14kg and less), and a separate enclosure where all dogs can play. There are waste bags and bins on-site to make it easy to clean up after your dog.
There’s a great variety of agility equipment and activities for the dogs to use, including tunnels and tubes. There’s also benched seating where owners can relax and supervise their dogs from. The park has plenty of large trees for shade and lights are available if you’re visiting the park after dusk. Please ensure your dog is under voice command and remove them from the park if they exhibit antisocial behavior.
2. Jo Gapper Activity Park
The Jo Gapper Activity Park has something to entertain every visitor. There are barbecues, sports ovals, playgrounds for the kids, picnic areas, and walking trails, as well as a large off-leash dog park. Please pay attention to maps and signs within the park – dogs are permitted off-leash in the designated dog park, and are allowed in some other sections of the park as long as they are leashed. However, there are some sections of the Jo Gapper Activity Park where dogs are not permitted.
The dog park at Jo Gapper Activity Park is open daily from sunrise to sunset and is divided into a section for small dogs and puppies, and a separate area where all dogs are welcome. The dog park has a designated car park, and there are benches for owners. Please clean up after your dog using the bags and bins provided.
3. Tedder Reserve Pooch Park
The Tedder Reserve Pooch Park is located in Adelaide’s inner northwest. The park is fully enclosed and suitable for off-leash use. Parking for the dog park is available on Findon Road. As well as the off-leash dog park, Tedder Reserve features barbecues and picnic areas, bathrooms, and a playground for kids.
The Tedder Reserve Pooch Park features drinking water for thirsty dogs and their owners, a secure double-gated entry, benches where owners can relax, and agility equipment for dogs to play on. There is also a waste bag dispenser and bins around the park – please use these to clean up after your dog.
4. West Torrens Dog Park
The West Torrens Dog Park is situated in Marleston, Adelaide. This spacious off-leash dog park is adjacent to the Westside Bikeway and has a designated space for small dogs and one for large dogs. There’s a lot of grassy space, paved pathways, and even a dedicated area to wash and clean up your dog after they’re done playing.
The regulations for using the West Torrens Dog Park are posted outside the park – please read through these and abide by them during your visit. Ensure your dogs are closely supervised and under voice command at all times.
5. Hazelmere Road Reserve
Hazelmere Road Reserve is located in Glengowrie, southwest of Adelaide’s centre. The reserve itself features playgrounds, barbecue shelters, picnic tables, drinking water, bathrooms, and designated parking, as well as the off-leash dog park.
The dog park at Hazelmere Road Reserve underwent significant upgrades in 2019 and now features a separate area for small dogs (under 15kg), plus drinking water for dogs and bowls that owners can fill. There are walking paths throughout the dog park, as well as bench seating for owners.
6. Four Paws Park
Four Paws Park is located inside Denis Morrissey Park in Hectorville, Adelaide. This designated off-leash dog park features natural terrain, and lots of large trees for shade. Parking for Four Paws Park is accessible from St. Bernards Road.
For owners, the park features lots of walking paths and benched seating. For dogs, there is agility equipment, drinking water, and lots of space to make new friends.
