1. Remy’s Dog Park
Southeast of downtown Birmingham, dog owners can find Remy’s Dog Park. This 6-acre area has plenty of open grassy areas, shade, benches, and more. There are three fenced-in areas for small, large, and special needs dogs. Inside each, there are water fountains and doggy waste receptacles.
Dog owners must maintain supervision of their dogs at all times. Dogs must be over 4 months old, licensed, and up to date with vaccines. Dog owners must always also clean up after their dogs.
Remy’s Dog Park is open from 7 AM to 7 PM every day except Sundays and Wednesdays. Sunday hours close at 5 PM. Wednesdays don’t open until 10 AM.

2. Cooter’s Pond Dog Park
Outside of Montgomery, in Prattville, dog owners can find Cooter’s Pond Dog Park. The dog park is a fenced-in area inside the greater Cooter’s Pond Park. In the summer, dogs can play in kiddie pools spread throughout the park.
Cooter’s Pond Dog Park requires dogs to be in good health and to exhibit good behavior. Dogs must be on leashes until they enter the park.

3. Creekwood Park Dog Spot
Situated west of Huntsville, Creekwood Park Dog Spot is a local fenced-in dog park in a greater community park. The area covers a large grassy section, while outside of the fenced-in area, there’s plenty more room for roaming. There is a forested area and creek for dogs to swim, a playground, picnic tables, and benches.
Outside of the fenced-in area, dogs must stay on a leash. Each owner can only bring two dogs, and each must have a current rabies vaccine. Dog owners are required to clean up after their dogs.
Creekwood Park Dog Spot is open from 6 AM to 7 PM every day.

4. Julien Marx Dog Park
The large Julien Marx Dog Park is a Mobile local favorite. The dog park is a fenced-in area where dogs can run around off-leash. Outside of the fenced-in area, there are other walking trails nearby. However, outside of the fenced-in area, dogs must be kept on leashes.
Julien Marx Dog Park requires dog owners to keep supervision of their pets. Each owner is held responsible for their dog. Dog owners must also clean up after their dogs.

5. Cahaba Beach Dog Park
Cahaba Beach Dog Park is a membership-based dog park in Birmingham. The park covers 3-acres of land where dogs can roam leash-free. Inside the park, there’s a pool and waterfall where dogs can swim.
Cahaba Beach Dog Park doesn’t allow aggressive dogs. Each dog must be up to date with vaccines and licensed. Dog owners must purchase a membership to enter the park.
Cahaba Beach Dog Park is open from 7 AM to 6 PM on weekdays, 8 AM to 12 PM on Saturdays, and 4 to 6 PM on Sunday.

6. Hannah Daye Ridling Bark Park
On the east side of Montgomery, dogs have the expansive Hannah Daye Ridling Bark Park. The park is a large area where dogs can roam free, play in a creek, run over bridges, and play with other dogs. The park has water, trash receptacles, and plenty of parking.
Hannah Daye Ridling Bark Park requires dog owners to keep their dogs on leashes until they’re in the fenced-in area. Dog owners must also supervise their dogs at all times.

7. Fairhope Dog Park
In Fairhope, dog owners can find the 2-acre, off-leash Fairhope Dog Park. Here, dogs have ample room to run around and play with other pets. Waste bags, trash cans, water fountains, benches are can all be found here.
Fairhope Dog Park only allows two dogs per handler. Each dog must display current tags and a rabies vaccine. Inside the park, no toys or food are allowed.
Fairhope Dog Park is open daily from 8 AM to 8 PM.

8. Public Safety Memorial Dog Park
Public Safety Memorial Dog Park is a section of the greater Public Safety Memorial Park which holds a skating rink, playground, parking, and more. The dog park is a fenced-in area where dogs can play off-leash. Inside the park, dogs can play inside small doggy pools.
Dogs must be kept on leashes until they are inside the fenced-in area. Dog owners must watch their dogs at all times. If dogs show aggressive behavior, they must leave immediately.

Located in Madison, Mill Creek Dog Park is a 1.4-acre fenced-in dog park. The park has three separate areas. There’s one small area where dogs can be unleashed before entering the small dog or the large dog area. On-site, there are trash cans and water provided.
Mill Creek Dog Park requires dogs to have current tags and a rabies vaccine. Dog owners must supervise their dogs and keep them on leashes when entering and exiting the park.

Downtown Dog Spot requires dogs to be up to date with vaccines, well-behaved and supervised at all times. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs and prevent their dogs from digging.
