1. Otto Armleder Dog Park

Situated next to the Little Miami River, Otto Armleder Dog Park is a large dog park available to Cincinnati dog owners. The dog park covers 10 acres and has areas for both small and large breeds. The park also provides a doggy shower and water fountains.

Beyond the dog park, dog owners will find several walking trails, soccer fields, canoe access, and a playground. Dog owners must bring their dogs into the park on a leash, and they must always clean up after them.

Otto Armleder Dog Park is open every day from 7 AM to 7 PM.

2. Bow Wow Beach Dog Park

On the outskirts of Akron, dog owners can find the large Bow Wow Beach Dog Park. This dog park is a large off-leash area where dogs can play, run around, and even swim. The park is fenced-in and covers 7.5 acres. There is also a smaller, separate area for small dogs.

Bow Wow Beach Dog Park does not allow any food. Dog owners cannot get in the water with their dogs. They must always clean up after their dogs and have a leash with them.

3. Scioto Audubon Dog Park

Located on the Scioto River in Columbus, Scioto Audubon Dog Park is a 2.5-acre dog park with two fenced-in areas. Inside the dog park, dogs can find agility courses to run through. Additionally, the greater Scioto Audubon Park holds a 10-mile long trail.

Around the park, there are picnic areas, parking lots, shelters, restrooms, water, and more. Dog owners must keep an eye on their pets, and they must always clean up after them.

Scioto Audubon Dog Park is open from 6:30 AM to 10 PM every day.

4. Canine Meadow Dog Park

Located just outside of Cleveland, dog owners can find Canine Meadow Dog Park. The dog park has two fenced-in areas for large and small dogs, a pond for swimming, and plenty of grassy areas. The large dog area covers 2.5 acres, and the small dog area is roughly 1 acre.

Canine Meadow Dog Park requires dogs to be on a leash when not inside the fenced-in areas. No food is allowed in the park. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs; bags are available on site.

5. Middlegrounds Metro Dog Park

In downtown Toledo, Middlegrounds Metro Dog Park serves as a haven for resident dog owners. The park is a large off-leash grassy area with two fenced-in areas for large and small dogs. Outside of the dog park, there are trails and cycling paths.

Dogs must stay on leashes whenever they’re outside of the fenced-in areas. All dogs must be watched to ensure they’re well-behaved, and if they show aggression, they must leave. No food is allowed inside the dog park.

6. Spindler Dog Park

On the east side of Columbus, dog owners can find the large Spindler Dog Park open for play. The park features two fenced-in areas for large and small dogs. Inside each area, there are walking trails. The dog park also provides water.

The park provides restrooms, picnic tables, and parking. Spindler Dog Park requires dogs to be vaccinated and older than 4 months. Dog owners can bring their own toys, but they must all be taken out of the park with them.

7. Washington Park Dog Park

In downtown Cincinnati, residents can find the large outdoor venue of Washington Park. Within the area, dog owners can find the Washington Park Dog Park haven. This area is a small, fenced-in area perfect for dogs in the city.

Dogs must remain on leashes when entering and exiting the dog park. Dog owners have to keep a watchful eye over their dogs and ensure their dogs are behaving. Dogs must be current with vaccinations and have owner identification tags.

8. Edgewater Park

Sitting on Lake Erie, Edgewater Park is a large beachfront park open to all dogs. The park itself has picnic spots, cycling paths, fishing piers, restrooms, and several trails. There are also beaches open for dogs to play and swim in.

Edgewater Park does not allow aggressive dogs. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs, and they must always keep watch and control over their dogs. No cleanup supplies are available, so owners must bring their own.

Edgewater Park is open from 6 AM to 11 PM every day.

9. Glass City Dog Park

Glass City Dog Park is a membership-based dog park for Toledo dog owners. The park has three separate fenced-in areas—two for large dogs and one for small dogs. The two large dog areas are 2 acres and 1.3 acres, and the small dog area is 1.1 acres.

To enter the park, dog owners must have a membership. A one-year membership costs $45 and covers the cost of two dogs. Inside the park, dog owners must clean up after their dogs and keep an eye on them.

Glass City Dog Park is open daily from 6 AM to 9 PM.

10. Akron Dog Park

Established in Akron by a nonprofit organization, Akron Dog Park is an off-leash park for resident dog owners. The park has a double-gated entry, agility courses, and other play equipment. There are also benches, running water, and shaded areas.

Dogs must be under 30 pounds and over 4 months to enter the park. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs. Doggy waste bags are provided at waste disposal stations in the park.

Akron Dog Park is open from dawn to dusk every day.
