1. High Park Dog Off Leash Area
High Park is a large park in Toronto with many amenities, including a spacious off-leash dog park. There is running water inside the park, as well as lots of large trees for shade, plenty of areas for your dog to sniff and explore, and benches where owners can relax and supervise their pups. The terrain of this park is mostly grass/soil, and it can become muddy when wet.
Although the dog park at High Park is an off-leash area, please note that it is not fully enclosed, and take care to supervise your dog at all times. There is running water inside the park for thirsty pups, but please bring your own waste bags and clean up after your dog. All dogs must be licensed and have a current rabies vaccine to visit the park. Please ensure your dog is on a leash in any area of High Park outside the designated off-leash area.
2. Allan Gardens Off-Leash Dog Park
Allan Gardens is a large city park in Toronto that’s best known for its botanical gardens and greenhouses. The park boasts an impressive collection of exotic plants and flowers from many different corners of the globe, as well as seasonal plants. Other features include a playground and a dog off-leash area.
The Allan Gardens Off-Leash Dog Park is fully enclosed and has a separate (also enclosed) area for dogs under 20 lbs., as well as a parking lot for convenience. Please ensure your dog is on a leash whenever they are outside the designated off-leash area.
3. Cherry Beach Off Leash Dog Park
The Cherry Beach Off Leash Dog Park is located inside Cherry Beach Clarke Beach Park. As well as the off-leash area, the park has seven bike trails, picnic sites, and two designated parking lots. There’s also beach access where you can watch kiteboarders during the summertime.
The sizeable off-leash area is fully enclosed with lots of trees for shade and room for your pup to roam and meet new doggy friends. When entering the dog park, please ensure your dog is on a leash until you are safely inside and secure the gate behind you. Please clean up after your dog using the waste receptacles provided.
4. Coxwell Ravine Dog Park
Coxwell Ravine Dog Park is one of the more modern dog parks in Toronto. Located in the East York area, this park makes up a section of the large East Don Valley Trail network. As well as the fully fenced dog park, there’s a picnic area and plenty of places to view local wildlife.
Inside the dog park are benches where owners can relax and supervise their dogs. There’s a secure, double-gated area for access, designated parking, and waste receptacles to make it easy to clean up after your dog.
5. Sunnybrook Dog Park
The Sunnybrook Dog Park is part of a larger region that originally made up Sunnybrook Farm. This 154-hectare parcel of land was donated to the city of Toronto in the 1920s for use specifically as a public park. The original barns on the property were preserved and currently serve as a public horse-riding school.
The Sunnybrook Dog Park is fully fenced and is open to commercial dog walkers as well as residents exercising their dogs. There is a separate, fully enclosed area for dogs under 20 lbs. The dog park features large trees, walking trails, benches for owners, and grassy terrain. Please ensure your dog is leashed whenever outside the designated off-leash area.
6. Wychwood Barns Dog Park
Wychwood Barns Dog Park is on the smaller side, but still has plenty of space for pups to play and explore. This fully enclosed dog park is not open to commercial dog walkers, but residents are more than welcome to bring their pups down for some exercise.
Please carry a leash at all times and ensure your dog is leashed whenever they are entering, exiting, or outside the dog park. Dogs must display a valid Toronto dog license and be spayed/neutered. Please do not bring your dog to the Wychwood Barns Dog Park if they have a history of aggressive behavior.
7. Bickford Park Dog Park
Bickford Park is a 2.8-hectare public space with baseball diamonds and an off-leash dog area. The Bickford Park Dog Park is open to commercial dog walkers as well as residents and is fully enclosed for the safety of all pups.
The dog park features lots of large trees, shaded benches for owners, and gravel terrain. There is also a secure double-gated entry and waste receptacles to make it easy to clean up after your dog.
8. Ramsden Dog Park
Ramsden Park has many great amenities, including baseball diamonds, biking trails, and an outdoor ice rink. It also features a large off-leash area, Ramsden Dog Park. The dog park is fully enclosed and features a separate, fenced area for small dogs. Ramsden Dog Park has large leafy trees and a sandy terrain that’s perfect for your pup to sniff, explore, and make some new friends.
9. Norwood Dog Park
Norwood Dog Park is located in the Norwood Park Community in Toronto. Including the dog park, Norwood Park covers a 1.6-hectare area and features tennis courts, a children’s playground, and a wading pool in the summertime.
The Norwood Dog Park is fully enclosed with a perimeter of trees for shade and benches for owners. The park features sandy terrain, a secure double-gated entry, and trash cans to make it easy to clean up after your dog. Please ensure your dog is leashed whenever outside the designated off-leash area.
10. Coronation Park
Coronation Park features baseball diamonds, bike trails, picnic sites, and a designated off-leash dog park. There’s ample parking at the park, as well as drinking fountains and bathroom facilities.
The off-leash dog park is fully fenced with many large trees and natural terrain. Please ensure your dog is leashed whenever they are outside the off-leash area, supervise your pup at all times, and clean up after your dog.
