2. Mutt Island
Located in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee, Mutt Island offers boarding for dogs who show aggression toward other dogs. Dogs who are reactive will not be able to participate in daycare but will be given individual play and outside time.
Mutt Island is locally owned and has a 24 hours on call veterinarian. Their facility offers a spacious 10,000 square feet of indoor space and a 5,000 square feet of grassy outdoor yard.

3.Barks and Recreation
Barks and Recreation is located in Memphis, Tennessee, and offers boarding for aggressive dogs. Instead of participating in group activities, reactive dogs will be given individual playtime and be taken for walks.
Owners Catie and Mary are certified Advanced Pet Care Technicians through DogNostics Advanced Pet Care Technician Certification Program and are also certified Pet First Aid Responders.
Mary earned her degree in Psychology before she began volunteering at the Memphis Zoo. She spent over two years working with giraffes, then started work as a kennel technician at a veterinarian’s office.
Catie developed her passion for dogs after rescuing a skittish puppy and transforming her into a confident and happy dog. She began fostering for a local rescue, which encouraged her to open Barks and Recreation.
