2. Applause Your Paws- Miami
Founder Dee Hoult has a lifetime of experience with dogs, and started training dogs as a successful business in 2006. In 2013 the dedicated training and boarding facility was established providing services in home, and at the facility, to approximately 40 dogs per day. The dog boarding facility is located at 4423 SW 74th Avenue, in Miami, Florida. Applause Your Paws is a dog training and boarding service. As such, experienced trainers with CPDT certification assess visiting dogs in the boarding program to match your furry friend with like-minded pups of appropriate socialization and energy. So, whether your dog is shy, outgoing, high energy or “difficult”, Applause your Paws prides itself on finding a good fit in their program, so your pooch can have an enjoyable stay with lots of play and attention. V.I. Pet Resort Orlando has been providing excellent pet boarding services to Orlando residents for 16 years. Pre-Requirements: Visiting dogs must be vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. Bordetella vaccines must have been given more that 10 days prior to visit. Dogs over 60 pounds are required to undergo a free daycare trial to ensure their temperament will allow group play. V.I. Pet Resort does not accept dogs that are over 75 pounds due to facility size and safety considerations. Un-spayed females cannot be accommodated, and unaltered male must select the private play option when boarding.
4. Central Bark-Fort Lauderdale
This Fort Lauderdale area kennel is located at 3699 N. Dixie Highway, Oakland Park, Florida. Dogs boarding overnight enjoy the daycare program which consists of communal play time, individual attention from handlers, nap time in individual crates, individual and group play, and exercise. Dogs sleep overnight in a communal home like area with supervision, sort of like a big doggie slumber party! Pre-Requirements: Documentation of neuter or spay, and current vaccinations for DHPP, Rabies and Kennel Cough must be provided. A check for fleas will also be performed. It is recommended that your dog be on a flea prevention program prior to attendance in the overnight and daycare programs. Your dog will need to undergo a behavioral assessment to ensure they are not food or toy aggressive prior to being allowed in the group play area. Retractable leashes are not permitted.
5. Camp Bow Wow – Tampa
Camp Bow Wows have been in operation since 2000, with the Tampa location being open for 10 years. Dogs being boarded at Camp Bow Wow’s Tampa location enjoy group play in the daycare program and individual rest in comfy doggie “cabins”, with a “campfire treat”, cozy cots, and fleece blankets. Pre-Requirements: Overnight canine visitors must meet the requirements for day camp guests. A behavioral assessment with a trial day is required and is free of charge. Dogs visiting the establishment must wear quick-release collars, be free from ticks and fleas, spayed or neutered if 6 months of age or older, and in good health. Your pup must also be current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations. Oral Bordetella within the last 6 months or injectable in the last 12 months is acceptable.
6. Pet Paradise Resort- Jacksonville
Pet Paradise resorts are located in 9 states, with 40 locations in operation or under development. The first Pet Paradise Resort and Day Spa was started in 2002. The Jacksonville, Florida location is situated at 5140 University Blvd West. The Jacksonville Resort offers a bone shaped pool for your pup to play in and cool down, and climate controlled indoor and outdoor suites. Pre-Requirements: Proof of vaccination for Rabies, DAPP, and Bordetella is required. Puppies must be a minimum of 12 weeks and have had 2 rounds of vaccinations. Your furry friend should participate in a “Get Acquainted Day” in the day camp, for which there is no fee. You can also tour the facility prior to making arrangements by setting up an appointment. To preserve their flea and tick free environment, guests are asked not to bring bedding or fabric toys. Comfortable bedding will be provided. Unaltered pets are accepted, however, they will not be able to participate in group play with other guests. These dogs will receive individual play sessions. Females in heat cannot be accommodated.

Preppy Pets in Naples, Florida is located at 4180 Tamiami Trail North. It offers climate controlled play areas for different sized dogs who are grouped by sizes including toy, small, medium, and large breed groups. Private play options are also available. Pre-Requirements: All visiting pups must be vaccinated with DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordetella. Bordetella must be provided a minimum of 3-7 days prior to arrival. Preppy Pets also recommends the Canine Influenza (H3N2) vaccine at least 3 weeks prior to visit. All sizes of pets are accepted, but pets that have shown aggression to people or other pets cannot be accepted. Dogs which are not well socialized may be accepted but limited to private playtime. Discuss options with staff prior to making arrangements if this is a concern. All breeds are accepted except where local government regulations are in place, however, male Pit Bulls over the age of 1 must be neutered. Preppy Pets cannot accommodate female dogs in heat, dogs with significant health issues, or pets infested with fleas or ticks.
8. Goochie Poochie Doggie Resort and Spa – Destin
Goochie Poochie strives to provide a stress-free environment with noise control and privacy. They provide trained staff on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as well as security alarm and fire protection systems. Staff will keep a log of activity, services provided, and your pet’s status. Pre-Requirements: All furry friends utilizing the facility must be in good health, free from, and not recently exposed to communicable diseases, and able to walk unassisted. Visiting pups must also be non-aggressive to allow staff to care for them. Vaccinations must be current, and administered at least 48 hours prior to arrival. Goochie Poochie does not accept Pit Bulls, American Staffordshire Terriers, Cane Corsos or Presa Canerio breeds. Group activity is also restricted for Bull Mastiffs, Akitas, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinchers, and Rottweilers. Dogs deemed to be aggressive will be refused services. Puppys must be at least 4 months of age. The facillity cannot accept females that are in heat or pregnant.
9. Robinhood Kennels – Tallahassee
Established in 1970 Robinhood Kennels in Tallahassee has been in operation for over 40 years. It is located at 5025 Robinhood Kennel Road. They have five separate, climate controlled buildings, with 90 dog runs, and grassy outdoor runs. The facility is monitored 24 hours per day. Small dog runs are 4 feet by 6 feet, medium dog runs are 4 feet by 14 feet, and large dog runs are 4 by 20 feet in size. Prices for small dogs under 25 pounds are $12 per day, medium to large dogs are $12 per day for outdoor covered runs, and $15 per day for climate controlled runs. Pre-Requirements: Dogs over 1 year should have DHLPP and Rabies shots. Dogs under 6 months of age should have 1 to 3 DHPP shots. Kennel Cough vaccines are highly recommended.
10. The Barker Lounge-Fort Meyers
The owner of the Fort Meyers Barker Lounge is a certified Pet First Aid and CPR instructor and all staff undergo two months of training in pet care, first aid, and CPR. The facility provides 12000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. Indoor space is climate controlled and monitored 24 hours per day with a state of the art air purification and filtration system. While visiting the Barker Lounge in Fort Meyers, your pet will enjoy all day play in the daycare facilities and private sleeping and eating accommodations. Pre-Requirements: Visiting pooches must be older than 16 weeks and spayed or neutered after 6 months of age. Your pup must be in good health, free of fleas and ticks, and not have stitches or be wearing an Elizabethan collar to stay at the facility. Vaccinations must be current for Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Parainfluenza as well as Bordetella. Your dog should be on a recognized flea and tick prevention program. Prior to boarding your dog should participate in a “Meet and Greet”. This is a one day, free trial period, in the day program to ensure your dog’s behavior and socialization are compatible with the group program. Your dog will be slowly and carefully introduced to group play.
11. Bass Pet Resort and Spa – Kissimmee

This kennel prides itself on its safe and spacious facilities. With over 5 acres of play area, and 5 play yards, your pup will enjoy lots of sunshine and fresh air on his or her “staycation”. Luxurious dog suites with TVs and extra space are available, and soothing music is played throughout the facility to reduce stress. Pre-Requirements: All immunizations including Rabies, Bordetella and Distemper must be current. The Canine Flu vaccine is recommended. You should also avoid feeding your dog 4 hours prior to admission to reduce the possibility of an upset stomach.

Pre-Requirements: Canine visitors must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella vaccines. Fax, email or bring a copy of records with you. This facility cannot accept female dogs in heat, or who are pregnant or nursing. If you bring your own food, it should be pre-bagged in a zip lock baggie and clearly labeled with pet’s name and time/date for feeding. Daytona Beach Pet Resort will accept all breeds and unaltered pups, but dogs must not be people aggressive to allow for safe handling by staff.
