Mason-Dixon Game Outfitters is run by gun dog trainer Kim Archer Lewis. They are located in Pylesville, Maryland and serve the Baltimore area.

Their hunting program is centered around the concept of the “Silent Command System.” Bird dog training occurs on their 300 acre licensed training facility. The program includes exposing your dog to live birds, including quail, ducks, and pheasants.

2. Dogs on the Mark
Dogs on the Mark is owned by professional dog trainer Scott Burgess. They are located in Timonium, Maryland and serve the Baltimore area.
This dog trainer offers one-on-one obedience, hunting, and field training for bird dogs. The owner is present and involved in the training session.

They specialize in retriever training for hunting as well as hunt tests. They also offer obedience, puppy classes, and retriever handling during AKC Hunt Tests. Additionally, they breed high quality Labrador Retrievers and offer stud services.
Owner trainer Vicky Lane Trainor opened Oakdale Retrievers in 1988. This dog trainer offers several gun dog training programs, starting from an Early Exposure Puppy Program all the way up to Advanced Gun Dog Training and Hunt Test Training. Their training programs are based on exposure to real-life elements like live birds, guns, and boats.
Owner trainer Matt Peel has been training retrievers for over 10 years. He offers on-site training at his small, family-run facility. Moss Bend Retrievers is owned by hunting dog trainer Bobby Heim. They are located in Wittman, Maryland, and serve the Eastern Shore region.
They provide retriever training as well as an obedience training program. Their “Little Dog to Gun Dog Program” is for puppies ages 4-5 months old. Puppies are socialized, taught to retrieve, and exposed to sounds and experiences they will have while hunting, such as gunfire, water and birds.
The “Started Dog Program” further develops these skills and introduces your dog to hunting.
